Once Upon A Time...

In Bangkok, Thailand, on the 3rd of December 2006, a bus containing many excited kids anticipating a fun-filled visit to Dreamworld -the biggest theme park in Bangkok, broke down in the middle of the expressway.

Soon, disappointment started settling in as the clocked continued ticking while the bus remained stationary. Thinking about their friends in the other bus who were probably there by now didnt make them feel any better. All they could hope for was another bus to arrive soon.

After what seemed like an endless wait, another bus arrived to drive the bunch of kids to Dreamworld. When the bus finally reached the long awaited destination, the kids scattered off in groups excitedly, making up for lost time.

The girl and her friend strolled towards the entrance of the theme park. The rest of their clique who reached in the earlier bus were probably somewhere enjoying one of the many thrilling rides.

The girl turned to her friend.

"So where you want to go first?"

"I dont know. walk around and see lor."

As both of them didnt really fancy fast nor gravity defying roller coaster rides, they decided to just walk around the park and take in the lovely sights.

"You can be my boyfriend of the day! :D"

"Okay(:"

They approached one of the food stall carts looking for something to eat and then decided on icecream. Looking at the limited unfamiliar choices available, the girl reached for a chocolate chip cup with some Hello Kitty design.

"Eh! Let's buy this. This is cute. They got a toy inside!"

Her friend took a cup too and they paid for their icecream. Opening the cover, they found cute little figurines.

"This can be our ding qing xin wu(love token)!"

"Yah! :D"

And that was the simple beginning of a beautiful relationship...

We'll explore new malls or places in Singapore - which i think will be many, considering Singapore loves to build/ renovate/ demolish/ reconstruct/ you get the point. theres always some part of Singapore under construction la. the IR is opening soon!
We'll bake new stuff every now and then if we have the time.
We'll try restaurants that we've never dined in before all around Singapore - i think the next one is NYDC or the big O right?
We'll visit each other in hougang or bishan via the circle line and lim kopi one fine day if we can't sleep.
We'll go on some food tour (probably icecream) and binge till we're happy.
We'll shop and have a wardrobe makeover when we finally earn enough money.
We'll go on our LONG AWAITED VACATION OVERSEAS!

And it's good to know that theres someone there for you whenever you need somebody:

Someone to stop you from excessive impulsive spending by reminding you, "Dont you have something like this already?" "So expensive! Its not worth it!"

Someone who understands you so well that you dont really have to explain, or sometimes even, finish your sentences before she gets you.

Someone you can bother whenever you're feeling bored or feel like going out.

Someone to get retarded with and behave crazy like nobody's business.

Oh, i just remembered something! When you get married, i'll be on your jie mei bang who will tekan the groom until damn jialat :D And when we finally get our cars, which is dont know when, we can go take our drivers license together!

Kiawoon and I went to tour the christmas decorations at orchard on thursday(: super duper pretty! the photos seriously dont do justice to how gorgeous the lights were la, stupid lau ya pok camera ): im going to get a new one with my pay, i dont care.

outside ION! as you can see, orchard was quite crowded! cannot do extremely retarded stuff! and cannot take PROPER NICE PHOTOS without calefares!

and then we realised, theres a small door at the side! at first i thought they were like selling stuff inside. but then when we step in....

Kiawoon and i explored Orchard Central on the 25 August after school. we wanted to go there to eat Gelare before it disappears from Singapore. quite ulu leh, maybe because we went on a weekday, very little people around. The mall was very aesthetically designed though. alot of funny arty stuff around.

BUS STORIES

This is so totally random, but jinyi and I were sharing gross bus stories during the 1 hour break before P.E on tues. so i thought i'll share them here too.

People who cant tahan such stuff and have just eaten please dont continue lest you puke it out(:

As well as those currently eating while reading, i suggest you put down whatever food you're holding now.

I dont know how you'll see this, maybe some of you are okay with it. who knows, maybe some of you do this kind of stuff, but i think its DAMN RIGHT GROSS AND DISGUSTING!

SCENE 1:

I was standing one the first level of a crowded double decker bus facing the left side of the bus.

The offender, i think roughly in his early twenties, was sitting down in front of me facing the front, watching tv mobile.

I was listening to my mp3, looking around when i saw him picking his nose.

oh wait. picking is too mild. he was DIGGING! and i mean REALLY DIGGING. his fat fingers were PRODDING and PRYING, determined to dig out any shit inside.

goodness, if you wna dig at least do it discretely la! dont have to show the whole world you're picking your nose right!

and when he succeeded, he happily put his finger into his mouth. gahh!

then his fingers went up the other nostril and then into his mouth again.

and when he was finally satisfied with his "meal", he cleaned his fingers on the seat in front of him.

WTH! i almost vomitted on him can. apparently the women sitting beside him also witnessed the whole grotesque scene cause she gave that O.O!??!!!!@#^$! look.

tsktsk. poor lady. and i pity his girlfriend too, if he has one that is.

SCENE 2:

this one is from jinyi.

this indian guy and this lady were sitting side by side.

the lady was quite sound asleep, and her head was titled towards the indian guy.

so then, the indian guy started sneezing quite badly and his mucus flew out.

just nice ONTO THE LADY'S SHOULDER.

but he didnt dare to try and wipe it off or something :/

then when the lady woke up, she saw the mucus,

and she thought she drooled while she was asleep, so,

she quickly LICKED IT UP!

DAMN GROSSSSSSSSSSSSSS RIGHT! yuckyuckyuck. puipuipui!

*calms down*

Anderson Alumni Band was first started on the 8th June 2002, under the Old Andersonians' Alumni Society (OAAS) Youth Wing.

She was formed with the intention to fulfill more roles than just being a gathering for graduated members of the Anderson Military Band to play music and meet old friends.

Considering the fact that alumnus have greater experience in the field of music and academia, many passionate members return to the school band, where effective knowledge sharing is achieved.

Mentoring the younger generation remains a prime principle, yet it is a humble way to give back to the school what our alma mater has taught us in the past.

The Alumni Band has also actively planned and participated in main band camps, celebration parties, band festivals, competitions and has joined the Main Band concert series "AMBience" since 2004.

Results in recent years have been encouraging; as the Alumni Band witnesses an escalating growth in both strength and excellence.

it was supposed to be THERAPY, away from stupid schoolwork. wanted to scream as much as possible, but we didnt. haha. maybe abit just for the sake of it. some rides just make you go -.-zzz

i wna type a super long post. but then, i know i'll always give up or get bored halfway.

so here goes my.. eh... 5th? attempt.

i just enrolled myself in chemistry tuition last saturday with zihui after band prac. crazy right! like i can cope with my current load liddat. omg.

and just when i thought my first lesson was gna be a breezy one. the person at the counter just smacks worksheetS in my face. WTH!

so i look at it and THANK GOODNESS! MCQ! (: wipes sweat. so i walked down to the classroom.

WAIT WAIT WAIT! digress abit first! hee :D

the tuition centre was a BOMB SHELTER! cool right.

so i was like going from one bomb shelter(band room) to another.

and honestly, i had enough of bomb shelters! especially when you're gna fall asleep or you're extremely bored that you need to sms and when you whip out your handphone....

NO RECEPTION! and you go "wtf" -.-

okay, so i walked down into the classroom. the pathway stinks. got some weird smell that i refuse to imagine what it was. luckily the classroom was okay.

when i stepped in the classroom and sat down, the teacher handed me two more worksheets. O.O!!!!! *INSERT YOUR OWN WORD HERE* open ended one okay.

anyway, the teacher was nice. i think. but zihui thinks he's kinda gay though. haha. cause he has a very niang voice and ci xiang voice. but he calls on students to answer his questions. so throughout the whole 2 hours, besides scribbling on my notes, i was trying to avoid eye contact with him.

and the class was doing revision on organic chem. ZZZZZZZ. we havent even finished ionic equilibrium in tutorial la. so basically i didnt understand anything, really anything, of what he is talking.

i keep turning to talk to zihui. haha. and we both agreed the teacher was talking some alien language. LOL! then we countdown to end of lesson(:

goodness, if the first lesson is gna be like this, how am i going to survive for 2 months -.- this week vesak day also got class. AAAAAAHHH!

this is going to be a super long post. i shall start with last thursday.

2ND APRIL, THURSDAY: LAST DAY OF NATIONALS

i woke up super early, didnt get a good sleep cause i was worrying my butt off cause it was nationals!!! super nervous :/ took 74 to meet yiwen halfway, then mrt-ed to yishun. throughout the whole journey we were like "i very scared leh!" " i also very scared!"

then reach safra, quite ahead of prep time. dont have to rush. then lichun came. surprisingly i felt abit less nervous when i entered the range. ahhaha. got HOMELY feeling. but still nervous nevertheless.

MY SIGHTING was like shit. no grouping at all. coach zhang called me out few times, jocelyn also a few times. and the person beside me was freaking me out with 10s and 9s. MY FIRST SHOT was a bloddy 6! SIX LEHHH! so expectedly jocelyn called me out again. i went back still very nervous. my palms were sweating so my grip wasnt firm, keep slipping. subsequent series were better, after i drank my miracle water. ahha(:

then aftr yiwen was done and xinyi was shooting, me and yiwen and lichun went to moving target range to talk. and we RETARDED with my laptop cam. haha. some PHOTOS!

after that me and lichun went back to school for bio. then came back to yishun safra. rifle girls got 4th in national!(: our whole team won something.

we went to celebrate at FISH n CO at dhoby ghaut. we almost overturned the place with our retardedness lah. we sang along super loudly to every birthday song. apparently alot of birthday boys and girls in the house that day. surprised yongbin with a birthday cake. then crazy crazy crazy. laugh until stomach pain. then we went home(: PHOTOS @ FISH n CO!

my life is super messed up now :/ still confused, still lost.

but NOW, i have better things to do than sit around and mope.

for one, nationals is comingggggg! in hours. and im freaking out like crap.

i ate dinner with lichun today(: and we were like saying how its going to be one of our last times eating at northpoint because of air rifle. kind of sad right.

and i can still remember how my trials were.

how the few of us were sitting in the range waiting for the results.

how we were all saying to each other we doubt we'd get in.

how i was secretly praying to get into air rifle.

how disappointed we were when asked to go home and wait.

how delighted i was when i woke up in the morning jumping about when i got the sms.

how blur i was on the first day of training.

how i cant wait to start shooting.

how sad i was when we didnt get to touch the gun on the first day of training.

how i complained when my arm ached after holding up our waterbottles for so long.

how excited i was when we finally got to shoot.

how much i hated dry firing in the past ><

how i carefully kept and labelled each target card i shot for a few months.

how i stopped collecting cards after i realised how many cards i was going to shoot for the remaining year.

and of course, i will ALWAYS REMEMBER the people(:

how we slowly turned from strangers to family.

how much fun and laughter we used to have during trainings.

how we always complain yiwen's so noisy.

how we match zhengyang up with girls.

how we laughed at lichun's laughter. ahah.

how zhihao and peiting always came up with hilarious racist stuff ><

how we make fun of each other and laugh at our lame-ness.

how we imitate pompom's china accent.

how we always walk to training at yishun safra together, going in when bright, coming out when dark.

how we used to go upstairs to beat the highscore for photohunt and play pool after holiday trainings.

how we OOOOH at yongbin's observance whenever he spotted a mistake in the photos.

how we enjoyed having dinner together before training. long john silver, LAKSA, jap foodcourt.

its the little things we do, the different unique people that make up our club which brings out the fun in air rifle and im really very grateful for being part of this wonderful family.

dont stress (although im like seriously stressed now, lol)

just do your best and always know that no matter what the result is, we'll still be a happy family :D
